Anne-Mari Kivimäki Ensemble performs music written by Kivimäki, ranging from wistful folk music to hypnotic accordion trance. Kivimäki’s distinctive musical style and unique line-ups deliver age-old sounds, old hit tunes and interesting new compositions. SUISTAMON SÄHKÖ:
ARCTIC ETHNO-TECHNO ACT

Suistamon Sähkö is a genre-busting hybrid that celebrates boisterous rave atmosphere, buzzing synthesizers, fierce rapping, and the sound of Soviet-made accordion. Through primeval rhythms boldly exploring the worlds of ethno-techno and hip hop, the group creates wild and experimental dance music. To website

WE RUNED:
SHORTSONGS FROM NORTH

we runed is a film in 30 parts, made between 2021 – 2026 and overseen by Anne-Mari Kivimäki and screenwriter-director Tommi Kainulainen. It is a modern multi-arts project that draws inspiration from the Finnish national epic, the Kalevala, but free-associates on contemporary themes. The film or its parts are performed either in conventional film screenings or with live accompaniment. To website
